LORD LORD LORD

.. . .. from a letter by Doc Paulin - 2232 Seventh Street, New Orleans.
Here is the information as far as I can best remember. I think it will be of help to you.
I was born June 26, 1906 in the country at Wallace, St. John the Baptist's parish. I started playing trumpet when I was sixteen years old. The bands I played with were Jack Kerry's and lots of others. I also played a lot of vaudeville shows and road shows, and in churches. etc: I came to New Orleans around 1922. I've been leading my own band since around 1928 or so.

Detailed information on many of the men featured on this album may be found on La Croix releases 1 through 5.

Photographs: Mike P. Smith (front cover), Richard M. Poe (back cover).
